Our Mission
SEEDS & SKILLS aims to restore and enhance the social and ecological systems in which tourism businesses operate by providing tailored learning opportunities for teachers and students in VET and HEI institutions, as well as for tourism businesses and other key stakeholders in the tourism sector.
Our Vision and Primary goal
We envision a paradigm shift in the tourism sector, moving beyond minimizing negative impacts toward actively restoring and improving local ecosystems, strengthening local economies and communities, promoting local culture and traditions, and creating shared value among all stakeholders.
To achieve this, our primary goal is to empower these change agents with skills in regenerative tourism, aligning with current labor market needs, to drive meaningful change within their environments.
Challenge vs Solution
🗺️ Tourism in Europe faces critical challenges: extreme seasonality, overtourism in iconic destinations, and the deep environmental vulnerability of our coastal and island ecosystems. 'Doing less harm' is no longer enough.
